The Core Project

I am devising an online Visual Arts Project entitled ‘The Core Project’: www.the-core-project.com

This Project shall contain 200+ Videos, one entry representing each of the Sovereign States or Countries of the world. Each video will show one person answering the same question that I propose to them. The participant does not know the question until they hit record and has two minutes to answer the question. The question is ‘What will happen next’ – this is kept secret until they hit record as I wish to capture a natural honest answer from the participant.

The project is based on the focusing of how the participant has to set up the camera, follow instructions and answer the question. It is not solely based on the answer but their method and practice in participating in the project.

The project shall be shown online at www.the-core-project.com and through an Installation exhibition in 2012. I have placed the first stepping-stone in this project with creating an online website (www.the-core-project.com ) calling for videos from participants across the globe. However I need the financial support to do this project; from project management, making phone calls, to web design, to the completion of the project and creation of the Installation.
